Is Toyota making a new 2017 4Runner?
The world’s automotive media are on their way to Chicago to get ready to see what automakers have to offer at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show. Toyota is certainly doing its best to build buzz around an upcoming announcement. Early Thursday, morning the Toyota USA Twitter account sent out the photo that is at the top of this blog. The only real information that accompanied the tweet is that there will be a major announcement on Thursday (Feb. 11) at 2:30 p.m. Eastern. You can watch along with Allan Nott Auto Group by coming back to this blog on Thursday and clicking on the video link below.
Very few details are available about the upcoming announcement, but we are going to make a few educated guesses. The word about town is that Toyota will be showing off the 2017 Toyota 4Runner. It appears to be getting a brand new body style that will look even more aggressive on the trail as well as on the road. One of the larger leaps in speculation that we are making is that the potential new 2017 4Runner will also share the same V-6 engine used with the 2016 Toyota Tacoma. This will, in theory, give the new Toyota SUV a small boost in power as well as make it more fuel-efficient when performing more conventional tasks.
